Coby in the line up as defenseman.
Coby's got the puck and he's going for it.
There he goes, racin' for the puck, that's Nick next to him. He's helping coach the team this year.
Coby sitting out with other boys on the team during a shift.
Coby's B-Day cake, my first attempt, I think I did pretty good.
Blowing out the candles or should we say knockin over the cones.
Coby playing with Coco in the back yard.
First day of school.
Oh I know, I know.Wow where do we start. In March I (Amy) received a promotion at ACS (AK Communication Systems), I am now working in the roaming department and my job title is Wireless Technical Administrator. In our department we pretty much manage the network for those wireless customers roaming either out of state or other carrier's customers here in AK. It is a very exciting job and every day there is always something different.
Nick and I married on 6/3/06 and it was a beautiful wedding in Seward, AK. The weather was perfect, the guests were great, the food was killer, and the event was better than I imagined. For those who haven't seen any pictures I have posted them on the blog.
Coby turned 5 on 8/9/06. We decided to have the birthday party at a park here in Anchorage. It was supposed to be a beautiful day but it ended up raining for the most part. Luckily there was a covered picnic area to do some activities, like the pinata. The kids always like that one.
Coby started kindergarten on 8/28/06 and I started school the next week. Coby of course is going full time. He is really enjoying school and sometimes I wish I could go back to kindergarten. Can you believe they celebrated the 100th day of school, we never did anything like that when I was in kindergarten. For their first field trip they went to the animal pound, they have been to the Anchorage Museum (which they got to go in a taxi), right now they are going across the street every Friday to the YMCA to go swimming. Coby is going to Faith Lutheran School, a private school here in Anchorage, which is also the church we attend.
As I said before I started school a week after Coby. I am currently in my 3rd quarter and I am going to receive my Bachelors in Information Technology Engineering: Concentrating in Network Engineering. I hope to be finished within a few years. I am only attending part time but I am going through a fast track program you could say, we have 5 quarters in the year that are 10 weeks long and only 2 weeks of vacation. So far I am doing very well, I currently have a cumulative GPA of 3.73, that's only because I got a B in English. No offense Grandma Susan I just never have been very good in English and have never really liked it too much. Last quarter I receive a Microsoft Office Specialist certificate for Excel and this quarter I will be getting the same certificate for Word. I am also taking an A+ Fundamentals class this quarter and it is lots of fun, here soon we will start taking apart the computers and putting them back together.
Nick turned 30 on 9/14. Amy turned 25 on 11/23.
Coby started hockey for the first time this year. He is really enjoying the game and having lots of fun learning all the fundamentals. It really has helped with his discipline too. He does get a little upset when he doesn't do well, but we always try to encourage him as much as possible to let him know that he is doing AWESOME. I have included some pictures of him playing.
Then came Christmas. What a nice quite day. We opened presents and then went to my dad's to open more presents and had a wonderful dinner. Nick made Gumbo, we decided we wanted to do a little bit different this year. Nick makes the best Gumbo!!! Hopefully someday everyone will get to try it.
