Well another week has gone by. Coby is doing wonderful in school. This week he recieved a 100% on his spelling test, we worked with him all week having him write the spelling list at least one to two times a day for homework and then we would quiz him. His teacher says that she sees great improvement with him, he is now thinking a little bit better before taking action. She said in a note Friday they started learning some new words and without Coby seeing the word "can" he said the word and spelled it out loud. She was very impressed.
School for me is going just as well. In my A+ class (a entry level IT cert) we were assigned our computers last week and next week after mid term if we want to hang around we will go through and take them apart and put them all back together. I never thought there was so much to a computer but it's very interesting and I really have a lot of fun in the class. We are the last class this quarter to be assigned computers because these days there really is no use in doing so because everything has been intergrated. The cool part about it is that once we are complete with all 3 courses to be able to pass the A+ certification we will be able to take the computer home. And to think that I was about to get a new computer, now all I need to get is the monitor so that we can set up the old one is Coby's room.
We have been trying to show Coby how to use the computer and all the cool kinds of things we can do on it. He really enjoys going to Google Earth, everytime we show him where we live and where all the Grandmas and Grandpas and Aunts and Uncles live. If you haven't already checked out Google Earth you really should give it a try. I thinks it's great especially if you are planning a vacation somewhere, you can map out pretty much anything without having to look at those confusing maps.
Coby had a hockey game yesterday and once again he scored a goal. I was very impressed with the whole team. To see where they started and then watching them now is just amazing. They are all skating very well, handling the puck, and working on knowing where their positions are. Next weekend is their last game. They will be playing two games in one day with about a 20 min break in between, and then it is trophy time. No matter what at the level they are playing all of the kids get a trophy which is great it really boost their confidence.
Until next time, hugs and kisses to everyone!!!!
